We recently had a wonderful stay at a motel in Taupo. The location was optimal, as we were able to conveniently walk to many shops and eateries close by. Even though it was close to the centre of town, it was still slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets, making it a peaceful escape. Our room was tidy and well-presented, with ample pillows and blankets provided. The friendly and helpful staff made us feel welcome and ensured we had everything we needed during our stay. The only downside was some pedestrian noise but nothing too alarming.

The fact that we had no hot water and when found that fact it was too late to wake up the manager. Also very basic with only a liquid soap on offer - no shampoo, soap, shower caps, moisterizer as found in other motels and no biscuits and we ran out of teabags. The bed was comfortable and the room was good. Manager was friendly but a discount on our fee would have been good due to no hot water. Had to do dishes with a boiled jug and same as washing ourselves.

Pet friendly with helpful staff and comfortable room

The location is comfortable and handy, in the morning everything was fine. Furthermore, it's not far from lake front and town as well as a quiet neighbourhood. The rooms are cheap and neat, with a microwave oven, a fridge and a dining area. The bathroom is fairly clean, the beds are comfortable, the staff are affable.

Tidy place with particularly good views and good and magnificent location close to shops. The staff was amazingly nice, the beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the room was spotless. Satellite television, central heating and a microwave in the room. Location really close to restaurants and lakefront and centre and the township. Really nice experience there.

This hotel offers great value for money, with affordable prices for a comfortable stay. The attention to detail is evident in the clean and tidy rooms, and the basic amenities provided meet all our needs. The location is fantastic, conveniently close to the lake, offering a great view from the balcony in the second bedroom. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service throughout our stay.

I stayed in a spacious studio with a balcony, offering a limited but lovely lake view and a sunny spot for breakfast. The recent updates to the furnishings were evident, with a very comfortable king size bed that ensured a good night's sleep. I was pleasantly surprised to find a separate kitchen and bathroom in the studio, which is not always common in this type of accommodation. The basic kitchenette, with a microwave and electric frypan, turned out to be very useful during my stay, and I even plan to purchase one for myself back home in the UK. Additionally, the owner was friendly and helpful, striking the right balance between being attentive and giving guests their space. This hotel provided a great base for exploring the area.

All in all, my stay at this hotel was absolutely fine.

We had a great stay at a motel just a few blocks away from the center. The well-equipped kitchen made it easy for us to prepare our meals, and the massive bed was incredibly comfortable. Despite the room being a bit dark, it didn't bother us much. we enjoyed our time at this great little motel.

Convenient location, friendly staff, good restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance, accommodating for large dogs, nice shower and clean towels daily.

My thanksgiving break was amazing. The hotel was affordable with complementary hot breakfast and free Wi-Fi. The location was perfect for exploring the nearby attractions.

The bed was a little stiff for my liking. Although I managed to get a good night's rest, it was a little hard to wake up the next morning.

we had some issues with the payment process, as our credit card was charged before we even arrived. It would have been nice to have the option to pay upon arrival, as we had anticipated.

It was conveniently situated not far from the lake, which allowed for easy access to the stunning views and activities that the area had to offer. Lastly, the breakfast provided was excellent. It was plentiful and gave me the energy I needed for a day of exploring. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
